Paprika Bacon Cheddar Jack Popcorn Recipe
Ingredients
- 4 slices Bacon (chopped)
- ½ cup Popcorn Kernels
- 2 tbsp Butter
- ½ cup Cheddar Jack Cheese (finely shredded)
- 1 tsp Paprika Powder
- 1 tsp Parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions
Prepare the bacon – In a skillet over medium heat, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove the bacon and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil. Once cooled, chop into small pieces and set aside.
Pop the popcorn – In the same skillet, use the rendered bacon fat as a base. Add butter and popcorn kernels, stirring gently over low heat until the kernels begin to pop.
Cover and shake – Once popping begins, cover the skillet with a lid and shake occasionally to ensure even popping. When the popping slows down and eventually stops, remove the skillet from heat.
Season the popcorn – Transfer the freshly popped popcorn to a large mixing bowl. Sprinkle paprika powder evenly over the popcorn and toss to coat.
Assemble and serve – Arrange the seasoned popcorn in a serving bowl. Sprinkle finely shredded Cheddar Jack cheese over the top while the popcorn is still warm, allowing it to melt slightly. Add the crispy bacon bits and garnish with chopped parsley.
Enjoy! Serve immediately for the best flavor and crunch.
